Schema FMC00.149: gives a tabular synthesis showing the development of the Spectrum of elements and ethers and the development of our current Four kingdoms of nature as well as Man's developing Condition of Consciousness, see also Schema FMC00.583 on Man and nature's kingdoms in evolution
It shows how the plant and animal kingdoms evolved from the planetary stages of evolution: part of the development lagged behind and was not able to develop the next structural bodily principles, such as the astral on Old Moon, and the I on Earth.
Commentary
Note 1 - On sequence
Two different sequences in schemas
Examine the table, and remark that
- above - sequence (a) , the principle on Old Sun after the spiritual (warmth), is the astral (air, light ether), then the etheric (water and chemical ether).
- below - sequence (b) in Man's bodily principles, on Old Sun the etheric body is added, then on Old Moon the astral body.
This is interesting as one might get confused in one's thinking if one is not clear about this in a broader context. This note expands on that in order to clarify.
For this, view Schema FMC00.143 on The elementary kingdoms. It shows how indeed the etheric principle was added on Old Sun, etc. However this is the bodily principle added to the structure of the human being.
To 'see' the corresponding principle being added to the spectrum of elements, we propose to view Schema FMC00.414. This shows that the great Cosmic breath of Brahma, in it's exhalation manvantara that goes deeper and deeper, so to speak .. from the spirit world downwards.
So these are two different things:
- on the one hand the cosmos changes, the nature of our solar system changes (that's the dimension represented by spectrum of elements and ethers), and
- on the other hand the human being, as one of the many entities in that cosmos, undergoes a development whereby the higher hierarchies 'weave' a next structural principle to the human being with the substance and forces that are available at each stage. That way Man's bodily structure changes in terms of the principles added, but of course these are always at the same level as we know them today on Earth.

The last perspective that still needs to be added to complete the above, is that the Earth stage of evolution knew a recapitulation of what happened before in earlier planetary stages of evolution, as illustrated on Schema FMC00.006A .
Hence we find this duality of two different sequences in many places. And it helps to develop one's understanding to contemplate this in depth as one tries to bring one or more Schemas to life in one's imagination.
Kingdoms of nature
See Schema FMC00.142 on Overview Golden Chain, the two arrows at the bottom of the schema.
- The upper arrow of the two, in light grey, goes from warmth to life ether. This is coupled to the yellow box sequence Old Saturn left to Earth on the right.
- The lower one of the two is connected to Man - the human being. It therefore starts from the right, where the human I as the higher bodily principle of Man works in 'warmth', and goes to the left to the life ether corresponding to the current human physical body in the mineral.
Human being
Schema FMC00.245 on Thinking Feeling Willing does not show the two sequences, but is still interesting to complement Schema FMC00.142. The left part of the table again shows, on the left, the different bodily principles, and on the right the spectrum of elements and ethers.
In cosmic processes as described in Alchemy
See Schema FMC00.556 on Tetractys, below one sees the same 'cosmic evolutionary sequence (a)', so this should not be confused with the 'human bodily principles sequence (b)'
