Help:For newcomers

From Anthroposophy

Welcome for newly registered users

Dear, you have just registered, and now what? What will you be able to do on this site, and what not?

Registered users can contribute a) via the Discussion button on each page, and b) the Structured Discussions board.

This is the first way to make the site interactive. If you have a question or want to start an interactive soundboarding and ask for input on a certain topic, you can start a new topic on this page.

a) each page contains a Discussion button in the menu bar on the right. This brings you to the 'Talk' function, equipped with Structured Discussions functionality. You can: start a new topic for your comments or question, browse previous existing topics, and react to other topic threads.Note that as each topic page contains this functionality, it is wise to choose your topic page well so your comment/question is on the most relevant page.

b) the Structured Discussions board is an alternative to the above way of adding comments or questions, it provides a 'general forum' for any type of comment or question. Because registration and interactive functionality was just added, we recommend this is the best place to start. If you add here, more users will do so, and you will be able to change thoughts with fellow students from all over the world.

Today a registered user can not create a new wiki topic page or change existing pages, this to protect existing contents.

Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask with the Contact page or just posting in the Structured Discussions forum.

Guidelines and suggestions:

- The goal is to have a certain discipline (in formulations and reactions) on this site, so as to provide valuable contents for the community of users, that is an extension of the existing contents. This in contrast to the often more chit-chat like interaction of internet forums. - Please use references where you can, to provide context for your message or question. References can be added in an integrated way through direct links. - If a new topic is raised which is new for the site and/or raises interest, a new wiki topic page will be made, and your contributions can be added there. In this way you can contribute directly to the site development and enrichment.
