This page takes a perspective 'across evolutionary epochs' to have a view on a number of streams spawing multiple epochs:

the MoG positioned in epochs 2-3-4-5

It allows for a good overview:

First, the departure and reunion of both the Sun and the Moon is important to realize that the spiritual beings, including the SoF/Elohim, were all in one cosmic body. In previous planetary stages they had developed together alongside.

Now, in the Hyperborean and Lemurian epochs, both the Sun first, and afterwards the Moon, separate off and the Earth is now in a cradle held between Sun and Moon influences from outside (whereas previously influences were from the same sphere).

The MoG Christ Impulse instigates the process towards reunion with the Sun.

So this is where Freedom as a basis for Love is realized through the combined orchestration of Lucifer, Jehovah and Christ. That is a simple sentence to describe something extremely complex .. both Lucifer and Jehovah are classes of beings, which brought about a force field between freedom and a first version of love. It is crucial to understand the redemption of Lucifer through the Christ. Also it is useful to switch gears and zoom in/out and across in all dimensions to improve our grasp of this. For example: the Lucifer-Christ separation on Old Sun', and how the impact of the Christ will last until Jupiter' and upto Venus' .. so the process spans four planetary incarnation stages from Sun', Moon', Earth, Jupiter', Venus'. Such perspective helps to not get bogged down when studying the Lemurian/Atlantean/Postatlantean epochs in depth. An encompassing understanding needs to assimilate and integrate all of these, and other views.

The importance of an in-depth understanding of the meaning and impact of the departure of Sun and Moon can not be underestimated. For the departure of the Sun, a repetition of what happened on Old Moon', we have to realize the cosmic importance of that split in the Old Moon' stage.

  • the trickling in of the SoF and development of I-consciousness and treefold soul happened during the Lemurian and Atlantean epochs. It was recapitulated and refined in our current epoch of the MoG.
  • in these two earlier epochs however Christ already intervened to steer and correct this process, and this happened three times .
  • the Mars and Mercury passages or astral influences are timed in the 3th and 4th epochs, but have an effect related to the rounds (link)

A good intro is the following sketch by Rudolf Steiner in a letter to Marie von Sivers.

During the Moon existence there takes place this separation into a part which is Sun and a part which retains the Moon nature. It is only when we come to the fourth stage of our planetary evolution that the earth element is added to the earlier warmth, gaseous and watery elements. In order that this solid element could come into existence, the division which had taken place previously during the Moon evolution had first to repeat itself. Once again the sun had to withdraw. Thus there is a certain moment in the evolution of our planet when, out of the universal complication of fire and air and water, the denser, more earthy element separates from the finer, gaseous element of the sun; and it is only in this earthy element that what we today call solid is able to formLet us concentrate on this moment, when the sun withdraws from its former state of union with the rest of the planet and begins to send its forces to the earth from without. Let us bear in mind that this was what made it possible, within the earth, for the solid element — what we today call matter — to begin to condense. If we fix this moment firmly in our minds we have the point of time at which Genesis, the creation story, begins. This is what it is describing.
